Stefanie Marshall is an assistant professor of science education in the Department of Teacher Education. Her research engages organizational and system-level questions that examine how policies and decisions about science and STEM education impact the science and STEM experiences of marginalized youth. Her background as a middle school and high school science teacher and her role as a district manager for an educational service provider in Michigan greatly inform her research and practice. Marshall strives to engage key decision-makers and policymakers to disrupt the status quo of limited opportunities for marginalized youth to engage in the sciences.
